Well, after getting the over night bus to Corrientes (and admittedly it did look a little dud out the bus window), Paul decided that we should push straight on with a back to back bus to Puerto Iguazu....so another bus....and almost 24 hours later we arrived.....a new level of food anger had set upon me....

However this was all resolved after we settled into our Residencial accomodation (more like a safe homestay in a big German lady called Ana´s house - homely and secure).  Paul picked that Ana liked food and she recommended a steak house (more food anger by vegetarian Hannah) - that turned out to be FANTASTIC.  WE set out in the thick humidity of the Jungle evening to the The Gallo Negro (restaurant) which welcomed us with Caprihina cocktails and a salad bar to Die for - as well as any type of beautiful bar-b-qued meat!  Just what the doctor ordered after such an arguous day travelling Boat Trip
Boat Trip
!

The next morning we booked a tour on the Argentinean side of the Iguacu Falls park - that included a jungle ride and a speed boat up under the falls!  Luckily we had beautiful weather to explore the National Park.  It is thick jungle - and the falls are truely an amazing sight! Our jungle bus trip was pretty average - as we lucked out having an entire bus of over excited younf Argentinean school boys who wouldnt shut up...but the jet boat ride up under the falls was a real buzz....these boats get right up under the huge force of these falls - I was freaking out - and you literally get drenched from head to toe!  Quite an experience though!

Starving...we decided to follow the lonely planets advice and head to the Sheraton for a buffet lunch.  This ´splurge´option was written up as ´a beautiful $10US buffet lunch - where you can feel at home with other backpackers in your back packing attire`.......well....the lonely planet strikes again......we turned up there - still partially wet and sticky in the 30 plus degree heat - a little like drowned rats - highly excited about a delicious buffet.  As we walked past the terrible looking cafe´s in the park - we smiled with anticipation of our upcoming Sheraton feast.....however when we got there and sat down - we felt pretty out of place - with rich Europeans all around us Hannah and Paul

.  Worse was to come as the waiter came and gave us the Menu -  we asked how much the buffet was....my heart sank when he told us it would be $45 US each........heads down....we left the restaurant quickly......as i walked out I looked for hidden camera´s....Im sure the lonely planet is trying to make dickheads of us.....we had to laugh....and skulked back to the grotty cafe....maybe we werent so good after all.

Well....after walking around the park several times (not so well signposted!) and many photo´s later - we headed back - it was a full on day in the heat - the falls were amazing....after organising a bus to the Brazilian side tomorrow and to the mighty Itaipu dam....we set off again to our fantastic restaurant (only twice as jaded tonight if that is possible...there were no free cocktails...and the best eggplant in the world wasnt in the salad bar tonight - still good but just not the same glow as last night).  Gotta be ready to head over to the Brazilian side of Foz Do Iguacu at 7am....another day...another broder crossing or two (we cross into Paraguay briefly too, to view the dam)....

Lots of Love, xoxo
