We stayed at the Chapelle Street Casitas/Casa del Toro. We love it here. We highly recommend it to anyone passing through Santa Fe.
I'm sitting in the kitchen of our 3 room casita, #317 D. The birds are chirping outside and the snow is melting off the roof, making dripping noises. My feet are toasty warm because of the radiant heat in the concrete floor.
3 rooms - king size bed, full bath, full kitchen and a living room all for $89/night. Can you believe it? It's just a wonderful place
We spent an hour and a half in the dining room chatting with other guests, Barbara the chef and Paul, the manager. The people working here are warm and inviting and very friendly. It's a very comfortable spot to be right now, especially since it snowed several inches last night and our casita was so warm.
We were planning to leave for Boulder today, but there is a humongous storm on the I-25, which heads north from Santa Fe through Denver. Earlier today, the prediction was 80% chance of precipitation (snow). Now, the predicition is 100% chance. So, we're decided to stay another night.
Unfortunately, Chapelle Street Casitas is fully booked, so we're staying at the Santa Fe Sage Inn. There aren't any other cool places that take dogs :-( The Sage Inn is just fine, though. We'll be warm and cozy here tonight.
We spent the day walking around downtown Santa Fe, taking pictures of Eliza in front of things. She slept for much of the day, so we missed quite a few prime photo ops
It was so great to have a day to ourselves with no driving. We needed it to recharge for the last half of the trip. It's amazing that we'll be home a week from tomorrow. It's really flying by.

Too many - Times Eliza has rolled over onto her stomach, we've moved on and are waiting for her to crawl tomorrow
