Where I stayed
Having been for dinner the second night with two Israeli guys we end up playing various drinking games with some Scandinavian girls before heading to a tango club, understandably after a few tequila shots and plenty of beer my memory is a bit hazy but I do remember thinking it was pretty cool, and if i had a sole for the amount of times someone tried to teach me the tango...
I wasn't too impressed with Lima: it was massive, I was told by everyone it was too dangerous for a solo female traveller and the beach was shit
On my last night in Lima, feeling a bit more brave I started talking to this guy and what are the chances... he's from Scotland and knows exactly where Biggar is! After a few drinks with him and his friend, Appleby (real first name btw), we start a game of giant jenga and it turns out I am ace at it, seriously I dare you to challenge me... That night I also met a couple of girls from England who feature heavily in the pictures, me being a bit snap happy at the start of my trip. Having had a few drinks we suddenly realised, together we were a walking British flag! As you can imagine we were very excited and played on this heavily in the club we went to that night...
Waking up the next morning to catch my bus to Paracas I felt stinkinī and a feeling of dread was luring in my stomach...
Not only had I never caught a bus in SA before, I had to try and do it with a thumping headache
Bus stations in Peru are a bit mental to say the least: you have to check in with your passport, check your luggage in to be put on the bus and then hang around until boarding...
Sitting in my semi-cama Cruz del Sur bus on the way to Paracas, in the most comfortable bus I've ever seen while enjoying some sort of Spanish tv series, I thought īthis bus malarky isnīt gonna be as bad as I thought!ī, that was before Toro Toro...
