Sevilla is BEAUTIFUL!  We arrived here yesterday after our trecherous bus ride and it was a pleasent surprise to find seville so pleasent with a different feel than madrid.  It was about the hottest time of the day when we arrived after 5 and our directions were a little confusing, but eventually we made it to the hostel....which is one unlike any i've stayed in.  that doesn't mean it's bad, it's just interesting.  it seems like it's an old run down hotel which is trying to appear better than it actually is, which just makes things funny really.  we were greeted by the receptionist who was wearing a black and silver top all too fancy for the occasion and silver high heels.  nothing too terrible about the rooms or the place itself, it just doesn't have a kitchen - just a fridge and a microwave tucked away in the luggage storage room.  and it's kind of strange because you have to ask for a plate everytime you want to eat something, but it does mean no dishes - which is nice.  i just wish we could cook something plaza mayor in madrid

last night we explored a bit of seville and kind of found our way around and eventually found the groccery store like it was hidden treasure or something.  it was sooo confusing and it eventually turned out it was in the bottom floor of a shopping center, but when we finally figured that out we couldn't figure out how to get down there.  we also went out for some tapas last night.  i just picked randomly off the menu, but the two i got were excellent. one was a chickpea kind of soup with bread and the other something wrapped in bacon...i probably don't want to know what it was, but it tasted good.  it was cool how they kept tally of what you owed as well.  everytime you ordered another tapa or beer, they just marked it in chalk on the bar and when you were finished, they added everything together and then you paid.  there is also a cool terrace on top of the hostel which we sat on before going to bed and tonight we'll probably drink our sangria out of a plastic bottle up there(yes - a plastic bottle!!! it's great!)

we're going to a flamenco show tonight and out for tapas before with a girl we met this morning on the walking tour we went on. should be fun.  flamenco is a big tradition in andalucia which is the province of spain that we're in.  you should see all the fans and dresses in the souvenier shop...maybe i'll come home as a flamenco dancer.  i think i could pull it off :P

i'll try and put more pics up today.  the uploader wasn't working last time so there are only 5, but i have tons more!
