Day 15 - October 1
TWO WEEKS ON THE ROAD!
First encounter of a hiker at the hiker/biker sights!! We met our neighbor right before we were about to finish off the day with a few games of cards and head to bed. Little did we realize he was going to keep us up for an hour and a half! We don't know what his name was, but we know his whole life story for the most part. We found out he's doing a border to border charity walk. Apparently he's the only one left of the group he started with and he has a kitten that he keeps on a leash. It was all pretty strange. He even caught us in the morning before heading out and went on about some kind of mushroom. We almost didn't escape.
We ended up sticking with the original plan of 35 miles because when we checked the weather, there was no avoiding the rain that's coming our way. We wasted plenty of time at the Safeway groccery store and even got ourselves a club card and then finally got to camp pretty early.
We met another couple riding to San Francisco...wooohooo another girl on the road! It's about time we met one.
We got around to playing some rummy too. No surprise, but Brian is still kicking my butt
