It was about a 5 hour drive from Bayfield to Marquette to get to my Minkus!  The drive was once again pretty boring, but Brian and I enjoyed the tiny towns and making fun of the "ski resorts" that the mountains of Northern Michigan have to offer.  We stopped at a diner for dinner and laughed about how similar it was to the good old Station House...we miss it there you know.  ha!

We made it to NMU by 10 and were playing ultimate frisbee by 11.  Ultimate frisbee is usually too crazy for me, and i'm never good enough to keep up with the boys...or even the girls for that fact, but it was fun.  Brian and I were both exhausted afterward.  We aren't used to the night life of those stinkin' college kids.

We explored Marquette on Thursday and I borrowed Minkus' bike and later that day we slacklined with Minkus.   It was Thursday night...and brian and I just aren't cut out for the party scene so unfortuantely we were woke up at an ungodly hour, which is a long story, and decided we were both ready to get home and be done with the roadtrip business and that brings us to the next entry....the marathon drive home!

I was deffinitely happy to see Minkus again and I guess I just thought things wouldn't really be any different from the summer and for the most part they weren't, but with all her school friends thrown into the mix i guess i just found out that that's one aspect of our lives that isn't so "parallel"  i kind of feel like that makes me sound like a selfish little kid, but she is my Minkus after all.  So the visit was a good break, but not what i expected...and once again the beat goes on.
