This morning i went present shopping and then the plan was to go to Ponsonby. Heading up there i came across Aotea Square Market which was amazing, spent a bit too much there but never mind i'm sure it was worth it. The people are so friendly here, the guy i bought my ring off of polished them before selling them to you and reshaped it as well if it didn't fit right. You wouldn't get that back home.
After that i tried to find Ponsonby but i just ended up lost so i gave up and went back to K'Road. How easily can impressions change? This place is crazy on a Saturday...we're talking heavily tattooed bikers outside the cafes (and that's just the women) and drag queens wandering down the street. I take back everything i said about it being boring, how wrong could i be? It was terrifying. Mum there's an amazing shop here that you'd like, it's like Paperchase but better. They have cookie cutters that are in the shape of gingerbread man, it's a set of 3, the first one is whole, then the second has a bite out of and the third is headless or something. Also there's ice cube trays in the shape of guitars. There was so much cool stuff in there that just won't fit in my backpack so i had to resist. I bought a K'Road t-shirt though, how could i not? The guy even knocked a couple of dollars off the price for me before having a discussion about the weather as Brits do and discussing my accent, i didn't know i had one. Although saying that i have been picking up the kiwi accent a bit....oh dear.
Most people i've been talking to think i'm German. Do i look German or something? Whatever Germans look like.
Weather was so nice today, t-shirt weather at last :-D
