This is just a quick update to say what i've been upto. I'll expand more later.
Basically the weather's been rubbish so i went shopping on one day, then the next day i took a ferry to Devonport to do a walk up a 'hill' ( a really steep one). It was so windy i seriously thought i was going to get blown off and just to reassure you there's signs all round it saying 'steep drop-offs, danger of falling.' Also you could walk through these tunnels but it recommended taking a torch and since i didn't have one i gave it a miss. Walking through a pitch black tunnel without a torch on my lonesome didn't sound all that fun. The view from the top was pretty good though. Then i got lost...again... so a 20 minute walk took me around an hour and a half. All good fun and i'm sure my legs are so much better for it. http://www.palmerstonforts.org.uk/gall/gallery18/large/nhead 3.jpg That's a view from where i walked if anyone's interested. It's called North Head if you want to search any more pictures. By the way that beach is not sandy it just looks it, it's volcanic.
Last night i went up the Sky Tower again but this time in the dark to see Auckland all lit up. It was cool but really disorientating, i couldn't work out what anything was in the dark. There's a really cool shop at the Sky Tower that i want to go back to though, they sell kiwi fruit tea, sounds disgusting but it's one of them things you just have to buy as a souvenir.
Today i have had the not so enjoyable task of sorting my bank account because Real Gap are useless...i think that you probably get that by now though.
This morning it was so nice and sunny and then surprise surprise it rained again, why does bad weather always follow the Greens on their travels? Mum, Matt and Meridy i hope Florida is sunny for you if not warm.
Oh and the other day the lift in the hostel broke, it just kept going up and down to every floor except the one we wanted then when it did get there the doors wouldn't open. Reminds me of Woolworths (which by the way is a massive supermarket here - with really nice cookies.)
Later on i'm going to meet Andy for coffee...which is so much nicer here than at home and then i have no idea what i'm doing. Probably heading to Foodtown...again and maybe Albert Park if it's not raining. http://dc.politixgroup.com/auckland12.jpg
To anyone that's text me, thanks i appreciate it but i'm afraid i can't text you back because my phone won't let me. Thanks for all the emails everyone as well, i hope you're all well, i miss you all and if anyone knows how i can put my pictures on here let me know because my knowledge of camera technology is limited to say the least.
