Well the holiday mainly consisted of chilling out by the pool and on the beach etc but on the Wednesday we went to the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza. We had to get up at 6.30 for a 7.50 coach and didn't get back till around 7ish but it was worth the long journeys.
We had a 3 and a half hour journey to our first stop which was Ikkil Cenote. It's an underground lagoon type thing which is 150ft deep with crystal clear water. We opted not to swim but we went down the 90 steps to view it.
After that we went down the road a little way to a restaurant for a buffet lunch then we went a little further to the site of Chichen Itza which is one of the new 7 wonders of the world.
