Where I stayed
This time I pointed my nose South and wended my way towards the bottom of the island. I spent a while taking photographs and chatting to random people that I met
As it was my 'official' birthday day I figured it'd be nice to go out to a show, unfortunately the mess Tim was cleaning up was still carrying on so he missed out! I went up to see Jude Law in Hamlet. It was a surprisingly fantastic show, I don't know that I've seen Jude law in a lot of movies and thought he was fine in what I'd seen him in but nothing more. I think he really 'got' Hamlet, it was a great production.
Afterwards, I knew that i had promised Master Dan that if I came across any celebs I was to get their photograph and their autograph... so that's right folks, I stayed behind and fought the morasse of teenage girls for a glimpse of the man himself and the chance to get his autograph. I felt sorry for the poor bastard though - a 3 hour show and then this horde waiting for him at the door, it's pretty intense. He was generous though making his way back and forth along the row until everyone who wanted an autograph had one. Mission accomplished though, I have the precious goods! The photograph isn't great because it was my iPhone and I was being jostled about by the shrieking girls, I got his autograph and got out as fast as possible!
On the walk back to the apartment I managed to shop at Sephora at 11:45pm (crazy!), I pretty much just went in because I could. Seems to weird to be in a shop at that hour. And then when I stopped to grab an oj, I found that amongst the chips there was a doozy - traditional pork skins, all puffed up, salted and sold in a bag... I don't know about you, but it just seems wrong!
Anyway a lovely day, and a nice way to wind down a bit after New Orleans. I promise there will be art tomorrow! Take care kiddies
