So after a much easier and  less stressful border crossing than the last time,  we arrived in our first new country for a while,  Bolivia!

Having arrived in a city on a  friday night, and because it was possibly our last chance to have a big night out with Bryce and Muss, we couldnīt say no to a big one...so we booked our mountain biking for sunday and tried out the local english and irish bars. A good night out, a slow start to saturday, and then the boys decided they wanted to to it all again, so we transferred the mountain biking to monday and they set off on another adventure. I had a wicked cold as well as the previous nights hangover and so couldnīt handle....

After another slow hangover day on sunday, we were up bright and early on monday, and were met by Ivan, the man we were putting our lives in the hands of for the next few hours! It was just the 4 of us in the group... score! and so no we didnīt do it with gravity. We spoke to a couple of people who had just done it with gravity, and they said their group was huge, and they had to keep stopping to wait for them...not for us..so we found another company, whose bikes and equipment were really good, and who have a miximum group of 8, and all importantly, whose t shirts we liked! Vertigo biking.

They were great. We started at 4700masl, and ended at 1200 masl, with a total distance of 64km, 25 on tarmac and the rest on shingle. We raced down the hills, stopping several times for food and for photos. Good times had by all, i think i slowed the boys down a bit, but hey i did it. We were all knackered at the end of it! We arrrived in Coroico just in time for it to start raining, but we had a hot shower, and a hot lunch, then Hamish and I said our goodbyes to the boys and we stayed a couple of chilled out days in Coroico, while they headed back to La Paz and then on to meet their tour in Santiago. Yesterday we took the īnew roadīback to La Paz, the one that they built to imporve the old, dangerous one, have to say its not much better (a bit wider but still not great)!

Tonight we are heading to Santa Cruz, a 15 hour bus ride. Joy.

Hope you are all well
