Well we made it back to London at 3am on the thursday morning. We had advertised our van on the Gumtree and Ebay for about a week beforehand as we only had 4 days in the Uk to sell, but our phone stopped working so we were hard to get hold of....Anyway we had had 2 people say they would definitely buy it, one was coming to see it at 11am in Hammersmith!
So after a late night it was up early to clean and remove all our belongings into poor Megan and Chrisīs flat! We got all sorted and took the van to Hammersmith to meet Yvonne, our potential buyer. We took her for a drive and she got scared about not having power steering and said she didnīt want it..at this point she hadnīt even driven it herself! i had to abandon Hamish to it to meet the boxes that were being delivered, but got back to the flat just in time for him to phone me to say she had bought it!! Full asking price, no hassles at all....what a weight off our minds!
So that sorted we headed back to Meganīs to pack up the rest of our stuff headed to NZ, which we did with no time to spare (the guy got there to pick them up before we had taped them shut!)
Then it was saturday night and a big day for rugby. Unfortunately a bad day for NZ rugby, as we watched the ABīs lose to France under some questionable reffing decisions! We had also seen most of the Australia England game and been quite disappointed about England getting through as well! We caught up with Laura and Bex and had the last GBK for quite some time...
Sunday we had a slow start and once we finally got up we said goodbye to London and caught the wonderfully efficient sunday service train down to Brighton and across to catch up with Duncan and Georgia and their new arrival. After a traditional english sunday roast, we caught up with what was happening with trains and the like in Brighton from Duncan and Mark.
It was a whirlwind visit and really good to see everyone we managed to catch up with, and sorry to all those we didnīt manage to see!
And that was the end of our time in England! (YAY!!!!!)
