So after hotfooting it away from Munich before we got drunk again on the fantastic beer we headed to Basel in Switzerland, where we stayed with Steve Rowe and Chris Brady....by stayed with I mean used and abused, we did washing, had hot showers and used lots of internet time while they weren´t even home! (we´re good like that!)

They took us out that night to a flash little cafe bar, and we were all in our best travelling clothes - shorts and jandals for the boys which almost got them denied, and some very casual clothes for the girls, which made the waiter ignore us all night! but it was all fun and they took us to the best kebab shop in the world for our after drinks meal which we all greatly appreciated!

The next day we had a look round the city centre and purchased some swiss souvenirs - namely swiss army knives which are surprisingly cheap there! Then we headed south towards Geneva, and branched off from the others towards Interlaken to take the road train through the mountains...basically its a big train tunnel, you drive your van onto the back of a train and they take you through the mountain. It was a good way of getting through without breaking the van! awesome scenery all through there, we passed the famous swiss ski resorts and then crossed the border into France near Chamonix  ski area. We stayed the night in the cold up a mountain and then met up with the others near Lake Annersee to start the long haul south to Toulouse for the Rugby!
