 Hi everyone,

Well I'm actually sitting in a cafe in Cali, Colombia at the moment but will do my best to remember what we were doing nearly 2 months ago! Sorry it got so out of date, things got a bit crazy!

So we had been hearing that Greece had a lot of problems with a heat wave and lots of fires but we had already booked our ferry out so we were kind of committed!

We headed to a large inland lagoon thing where we had been told that there were sea turtles. well there weren't but there was a big sandy beach which we could park on for free and set up our awnings so we settled in. After some crazy antics by the boys that evening and some beer (not that much honest) Paula and I woke up feeling very sick! lucky it was dark, but then inevitably the sun came up and we had to do something to protect our modesty! Luckily Digger and Paula had an 'emergancy toilet' (a toilet seat which you could attach a plastic bag to) and a tarp, and digger managed to whip up an awesome toilet area! By the end of the day Paula, Hamish, and myself were very knackered but coming right, must have been some kind of 24 hour thing! We didn't leave that beach in a very good state, but we did our best! Over the next few days, Digger, Astro and Suse all came down with it, so we are pretty sure it was a bug and not food poisoning!

The next day we packed up and headed to Meteora. We still weren't feeling the best so found ourselves a campsite with a swimming pool and hot showers (it was about 45 degrees at this stage!) and chilled out the rest of the afternoon. The next day we headed up to see the star attraction of the place, the 7 monasteries perched on top of crazy rock formations (photos will come another day!). The monasteries themselves aren't that fantastic, and we actually only went inside 1, but the whole area is really cool looking and very crazy! Was a good ease back in to the sightseeing (we were all lacking in energy a bit).

Then we headed towards Athens to meet up with Astro and Suse again!
