We headed back to Croatia, and after some research had discovered a place where you could dive a wreck in a national park, so we headed to that town to organised the dive and try and find somewhere to stay, unfortunately all the parking was taken (there wasn't much it was super steep and windy) so we spent the night on the side of the main road, and headed into town in the morning. We spent the day just chilling out on the beach, most of the day trying to hide from the sun under our beautiful Gazebo. Unfortunately Rach didn't hide under the Gazebo quite early enough and got horrendously burnt so that was her out of the diving for the next day. The diving guy was a bit of a cowboy, and didn't have much gear, but we all squeezed into the wetsuits and BCD's he had and headed out on the boat. We all sorted out our stuff and got in the water, but as we went down my mask kept filling up, and I don't cope with that very well so I bailed there and then and got back in the boat. The wreck was a german U-boat from the second world war, and the boys really really enjoyed it. It was a very deep dive though (40m or so) so they got through their air kind of quick and were back in the boat before I knew it. We headed back to the beach and had a quick swim, then it was back in the vans, and we headed to Ston, a walled town on the peninsula we had been on. We ate our dinner down by the water, then moved into the police carpark to spend the night (everyone else was doing it so we thought we would too..). The town itself was really cool and cheap, so we had a couple of drinks at the bar before bed. The area was also known for its seafood and Astro and Suse managed to get a big feed of mussels for €6.
We then headed for Dubrovnik again to meet up with Mads and Kim for the last time, as they were getting the ferry straight from there to Italy and heading back to NZ. Dubrovnik was an awesome old town, with a cool feel, but it was really hot and too expensive so we walked around the town itself and had a good go at getting lost. Then we headed for the border with Montenegro!
