Hi all
just a quickie cos short on time again....
Currently in Arusha, Tanzania, having crossed the border a couple of days ago, straight to our Masai campsite for a night then into industrial sized land cruisers for a trip into the Serengeti and Ngorogoro crater!
We Basically spent 3 days just driving around the national parks seeing what we could see - the Serengeti was quite empty (its massive) but we saw a big herd of Giraffe, a massive group of zebra and wildebeast (they stick together cos zebras have good eyesite and wildebeast have good hearing), lots of hyena, lions, a big family group of elephants, a hippo out of the water and lots of hippos in the water, plus ostrich, buffalo, and jackals! our campsite was unprotected so we could hear the hyenas and things padding around in the dark - a bit freaky!
then yesterday we drove into the Ngorogoro crater and saw a massive herd of bull elephants - we sat right in the midst of them and watched them for ages! and lots of lions -some very close to the van!
right times up and lunch is ready - hope you are all ok!
