We did a mini trip to ko Phi Phi (the island where they filmed part of the film "The Beach" and it as so pretty we decided to upload some photos!  The crossing was thankfully very smooth compared to Julie's diving trip, about 2 hours from Phuket island.  As we arrived at Ko Phi Phi we were buzzed by the Thai police in a helicopter for no apparent reason.  The islands were hit quite hard by the 2004 tsunami as the area of accomodation is a sand bar between two rocky peaks, it was good to see that the island was back up and running.  It was pretty busy even in the rainy season (or the "green season" as the hotels call it).  We climbed up to the view point on Ko Phi Phi Don which gives a great view over the sand bar.

Question de voir autre chose que Kata Beach, nous sommes alles passer une nuit a Ko PhiPhi (l'endroit ou ils ont filmes "the Beach"avec le beau Leonardo! Sur le chemin, on a fait un court arret de snorkelling ou les gens du bateau attirent les poissons en lancant des croutes de pain quasiment sur nous...tonnes de poissons jaunes! Lunch sur une superbe plage digne des Iles Vierges... Lendemain, nous sommes montes au point de vue et question de suer abondamment, pourquoi pas monter a midi tapant! Superbe vue!! Retour a Kata le soir meme pour notre depart le lendemain vers Chiang Mai et les montagnes.
