so, we were finally rescued by the volivoli boys, oh and papoo was there too. so off we headed on what was gonna be one of my most amazing and weirdest dives yet, it was to be a wreck dive but before i talk about that as we got on the boat to escape the terrible and rather unhygenic home of the nananu lodge we were greeted by 3 smiles that belonged to 3 kiwi's, marion, peter and mark, they all work in the film industry and are a barrel of laughs after spending a few hours with them my face actaully ached from laughing so much. anyways, back to the dive, so we all geared ourselves and i managed to do the backflip again without knocking myself out for a second time, which was great and we went under to just deep nothingness and there infron of us, lo and behold was a upturned ferry. the ferry had sunk a few years a go and no-one had died in the wreckage, but the ferry was full of lorries and cars when it sank. so we swam down towards the ferry, me and noami were both a tad nervous as we knew there wasn't gonna be much space in the hull (look at me with the jargin, not sure that was the right word actually), anyways, we had torches and one at a time we went through a door, into almost compltete darkness, it was like doing another night dive, all you could see was where your beam of torch light had shone , so quickly it appeared that i ahd lost everyone and had become lost, i started to be scared that i may be left there forever but what must have been 2 mins but seemed like 20 as i swam about looking thru the lorries for my group, getting a tad worried, then i turned and there was paulo to the rescue, we swam down to the main section of the lorry where there were plenty of windows so you had a great view. aaarrrrrrr
aaarrrrrrr
it so sureal, all these upturned lorries, toatally intact, some with full bottles of cola still on the dashboard, it's so so weird! it's also weird what you find amusing under the water, i spent about 5 mins slowly opening a door back and forth from a lorrie and peering in, i think i saw a lobster type look creature, but it was hard to tell. it was so amazing though, all the numberplates were, it was a mangled wreck of lots of lorries, but it was hard to swim round you had about 1.5m max to the roof from the lorries and the ferry and i kept catching my legs and arms and all kinds of things and i saw quite a few scratches, cuts and gashes appear on me legs... it was a great idea, fresh blood in shark infested sea, but luckily they were a long way off that day.... phew! so after having a good exploration of the wreck and the nerves disappearing and turning to adrenilin it was just mindblowing, we exited thru the teeneist window possible and swam about the wreck and then we were air all out so went up to the window!

that night we recovered by drinking kava, hmmmm am not sure if that actually helped and chatting, we also met a guy called chris who was on the dive, he was a aussie, it was a chilled out nite and we were glad to go to bed that nite with no rats or mice in sight! x x x
