So once settled in wellington, we headed to the hostel next door, actually it was more like a hotel called the cambridge where neal and james were and the USA boys and keith, where for a whole $5 you get a glass of vino and a bbq, man i was enjoying this real food malarky, alot! We then partaked in a pub quiz, with team names of choclit and the divas, which i thought was some groovy little names but later over a few more drinks i found out from chris and laura what it really means and it's a tad rude, so if you wanna know, i'll email you sepeartley - my mum reads this! we didn't do too bad at the pub quiz and with a $200 bar tab to win we did try hard but i'm sure we only lost the topspot by 10 or 20 points or something! After we were quizzed out we all went for a boogie, to a place called shooters.... where they do vodka and mixer for $3 one whole pound, i think they have to do that cos they put on such a crazy mix of music that that's the only way you can stand it! we tried to get them to play some rock music on several occassions and got promised a whole hour of rock..... but were rewarded with one bon jovi choon!!! hhhmmm... saying all that it was a fantastic night! i learnt some new dance moves from chris and laura too!
the next day i woke up with a teeny hangover that was cured by a milkshake of the strawberry kind and i decided as naomi was off on a run to go for a wander on my todd, we were meeting the others barr the USA boys (as they had left - bye bye) at 1pm for some special lord of the rings fun which i'll explain all about in my next entry! so, i decided to explore the city of wellers, i got to the second road i had to cross and nearly got hit by a car that was hurtling towards me at a crazy speed and tooting it's horn rather loudly, oh and rudely i may add...... aaaaaahhh! it literally came out of no-where like a wee ghost car or something and then i got accosted and followed by a guy wanting some money that then followed me around a shopping centre and only stopped following me when i spoke to a shop assistant.... phew!
With that adventure and a sandwich under me belt, i went to meet the others for some serious and rather amazing lord of the rings fun and i was soooooo excited i could wee, but don't worry i didn't!
i hope everyone had a good weekend, though my entry is only on wellington, i'm actually in rotaurua now and we're off to the maouri experinec tonight can't wait!
