Hello, I hope everyones having a good weekend, well i'm gonna try my best to get the tale of the trip to Melb finished so i can tell you what i've been up to since i've been here...... for the last 4 months!
But, first here are some words of wisdom from Paul:
- Trams are like girls, there's never any when you want them, then 3 come at once!
- Baz quips.... 'and they're electric!'
With all this wisdom floating around i'm gonna be one clued up chick when i leave this house!
So, back to the story... as i said we got up early and off we set for more crazy camper adventures. we finally crossed the border from NSW to Victoria, these are 2 counties in Oz. Now they have strange rules with fruit between counties, in that you can't take the fruit you brought in one county into another, that's like me buying an apple in essex and taking it into herfordshire in me car, over here that's law breaking business, so we stopped and placed ourfruit in a bin before we crossed the border. We drove to the gippsylands, had lunch in mallacoota and by now we were getting a tad bored of little seaside towns and we were rapidly running out of money so couldn't do many tourist type things, so we drove and drove and eneded up in orbost, there was nothing on the drive there, no twns, no shops, garages not even a house for about 30miles of road, which was strange! So, we camped in Orbost for the night, dave fished in marlo and kept up his un-catching and just hooked rocks and we played some cards and finally learnt some new games, isn't life exciting and we played and played til our eyes could barely stay open and then we slept!
We woke up to be greeted by a truckload of flies, i counted 17 on one window! They were on my face, in my earsit was horrible, we ate a meal with flies on, even the super strengh fly repellent didn't repel these little tykes the were full on tough little buggers, so we resorted to swatting i belivev dave holds the record for most flies swotted in one whack with a neat 8 flies! So, we went fishing, dave said it was too winding and that's why he only caught rocks again this time, maybe he needs a little more fishing skills??? (sorry dave!!) we spotted no fish but we did spot a lizard, which we watched for while! Then we hit Buchan and the Buchan Caves! We went round the fairy caves, they were amazizng, they looked like what i imagine the surface of mars would look like, it was like a fairytale place, with lots of beautiful stalactites, stagtites and candle formations. At one point when we were a good way under the ground our guide turned all the lights off and it was pitch black, scarily dark and your eyes didn't adjust so it remained that way! We got out and were greeted by Kangaroos, they are strange creatures and very fun to just watch!
So, back to the van and as dave checked out the map to see where we'd be heading next, he stumbled accross some rather marvelous names for mountains, Mount steve, mount delusion and my favourite mount baldhead! We talked about hitting these on a trip but with only few days til will got to melb we didn't think time was on our side!
Off we drove.... through walton on the river naze..... hmmmm sounds familiar! and we drove and drove but could find nowhere to stay! We drovw for miles and ended in some wee place called Sale, we had to do the fly dance again on arriving at the spot, this has been perfected now and i find that i can keep flies quite well abay whilst doing the fly jig! That wouldn't be are only encounter with bugs that night. For whilst we feasted on bangers and gravy we were attacked 'like a batt outta hell' by the most massive flying bigs my eyes had ever seen, they were really huge! We fled into the van and locked all the doors, for bugs these day are getting clever and may be able to open doors! These weren't that clever, cos they kept flying into the side of the campervan and it sounded like someone was throwing rocks at the van! thud thud thud thud!
Finally we managed to sleep through the thuds and got up the next day and drve drve drove! We didn't do alot this day, i ate a cake, that seems to be something i had started to do a lot whilst on't road, and the waist is growing! We saw a massive lizard and that was the highlight of the day!
Now, we had the campervan for a good few days and even though dave drive like a poorly sighted 17 year old (he he, love ya dave) he suprisingly wasn't the person to dent the car, it was me who did that when i reversed the campervan into a post! A rather small post but nevertheless, still a post! big MASSIVE oops! but luckily when we returned the van they didn't even notice, he he!
I would just like to comment on the poor selection of sausages they have in oz, you can't get the likes of brauging bangers over here and they are massive sausages! who wants to eat massive shite sausages??? not me australia, sort it out!
So, now i get to monday and our last day on the open road for tomo we'd be in melb, with sian! But i'll tell you all that tomo as Ellie, Ricky's girf has just arrived from the UK so we're off t'pub! I'll also explain all about my last two wekends, which have been rather fun and very interesting!
have a great sat! x x x

Paul's Words of Wisdom
So who are the 3 girls then????????? Say hi to Ellie, you must have been looking forward to her visit, at least she doesn't have a robot head, potato head or look like a statue in the Town Centre, and she's definitely not Irish!
