Why is it that I sleep so well in other beds? Weird.

Today, I am going to take the Turibus around town, have a massage, go to the quinceanera and wedding. So, full day then. I walked to the Parque Principal to catch the bus, but of course I missed it. Only figuring this out after I talked with a Sister from Argentina and a really nice hammock peddler in the park, who, by the way, kept great tabs on me all day to make sure I was where I needed to be. I eventually got on the double decker red bus and had no problem reminding myself that I was not actually in London, but roasting on the top of it's relative in Mexico. After boarding, I saw a wave of white people playing frogger in order to get to the park and figured they were German. The Turibus, at 100 pesos/$10) was a great way for me to experience a part of the city I never would have seen. I don't know that the sights warranted a double decker tour bus, but the bus did allow me to feel like I was back on Hwy. 138. They had everything from McDonalds to Home Depot. I didn't see a Taco Bell, though. Hmmmm.

I went to brunch at Cafe Olympia right on Parque Principal. I had a great table outside on the porch and ordered Mollettes Tradicionales, which were hot dog buns w/ beans and queso. They also brought the fabulous pica that I put on top. It was quite tasty. I then went next door to the bookstore, somewhere I can't manage to stay out of no matter where I am. I decided to purchase "Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal" since I already know what is going to happen. I have read the first paragraph, so far. The most beautiful thing about Merida is its people. Everyone is pleasant and eager to please.
