While I like first class especially when I am flying for basically nothing, I do not like seat 1A. You can hear everything rattle and it sounds like the plane is coming apart slowly but surely. Inevitably, this is the seat I always get when flying on a buddy pass, so it only stands to reason that on a flight with 28 people (literally) on it, I get 1A again. When boarded, the flight attendant, Joyce, makes the appropriate announcement and encourages all to "spread out on your row and make friends." She also give us a choice of movies to watch, but the older gentleman in 3C recommends "Brokeback Delta" instead of what they have available.
I have started using Park and Fly for my trips, and it actually works out really well! Prestige Parking charged me $25 for 4 days of parking and shuttled me right up to the airport door. You park, they pick you up at your car, they drive you quite hastily to the airport and dump you off at the door. The whole process is actually pretty fast. So, I check in and the Delta woman goes into hysterics when she sees that Merida is an actual place and that absolutely no one goes there. "Obviously", she says, "because there are like 9.3 million open seats! Ha ha!". Real funny and did wonders for my security issues. Here at the gate with the other 2 people leaving on this flight, I am reminded of something I heard on the radio on the way in. "I'm gonna turn you out like a white tube sock". What does that mean exactly? I do like it though, and will try and find a way to work it in somewhere in the near future.
