I am on the 10th story of the biggest library I have ever been in. It is a really nice place- amazing facilities.

Hong Kong is brilliant! It feels so....cosmopolitan. But it is different than any city I've ever been in before. It just has a different feel. There are tons of westerners around- so many people who live and work here. Its definitely a city in the zoom. You get buried in crowds all the time- huge hoards of people crossing the street and walking down the sidewalks. And the buildings are just so tall. Anton and I keep walking into them and seeing how high we can go on the elevator. But sometimes there aren't windows anyway!

We went to a free Bikram Yoga class- that is the kind where they make the room really hot. It was pretty good but our instructor seemed like an aerobics instructor. Anyway, today we are sore.

I'm staying on Lantau Island which is a bit quieter and over half of it is parkland so there are many beautiful places. We did a bit of a hike one day and I'm going to try to make it to the biggest sitting Buddha in the world one of these days.

The weather has been pretty crummy- so no beaches and swimming so far.

I've been eating lots of Hong Kong cuisine like noodles and rice and crazy types of fish and stuff. Today I had Dim Sum for lunch with Anton and his girlfriend. They did all the ordering. I tried chicken feet! It was pretty good- but one foot was enough for me! The food was pretty delicious- just so different than what I'm used to.

The city feels the most like America of any that I have visited since I left. Except most people are speaking Cantonese. Still...many people can speak English. It is a really really different place to Southeast Asia. Feels really really different.

Spending lots of time riding around on a bike- and lots of time on ferries. The next few days are still pretty up in the air. Tonight we are planning on going up to the Peak on Hong Kong Island (depending on visibility) and then we are going to go dancing tonight!

The days are really flying in Hong Kong and I leave Tuesday night.
