Our first full day in Vienna... Started our trip to a new city in the usual fashion of visiting the market, which was enormous and very fun. Torze nearly had to buy a tonne of olives due to the best saleswoman on earth , we got out of it quickly though! After our visit to naschmarkt and lunch we went on a tour of the sights. The Hofburg palace, the main streets, All the amazing old buildings. Very lovely city, the grandness of Paris but without the hordes of people and the just a little over the top feeling. After we managed to get our hands on some train tickets to take a day trip to Bratislava for the next day as its less than an hour away! After a few beers at a random bar we went back to our - getting soggier by the day camp!

TOday we went to SLovakia! very good day all round! Great cheap slovakian food for lunch, walks over the castle and many piccies of the very random UFO bridge. More palaces and then a trip to the odd Slovakian Tesco... made me feel VERY unsettled, just odd, not a good experience but finally got some tins of chilli to go with our kilo of rice! rest of day was spent playing cards and enjoying the very chilled out city!

TOday was one of the best we've had whilst we've been away!
Started with a trip to the amazing spanish riding school to watch the Lipizzaner stallian horsses, amazing, I'll do my impression for anyone that wants when home if requested! After this we went to the Austrian version of Greggs, but nicer called ANker for lunch and we now have a gorgeous twin set of mug and saucers! the joys of a big handbag hey. REst of noon was spent doing some art seeing for the first time, in the KunstHausWIen. Awesome place very odd floors tiles outsides everything, the pics will explain better than I can try. Went home after this in preparation for a big night out we'd been craving!
Tea in camp - no gas still but the camp had a random kitchen so we could cook - and lots of drinks then we hit the town, literally! Both got very drunk, Torye was in charge of mapreading as I was unable to see... literally... due to this and the fact she wanted an easy walk to the club we were goin to, we walked literlly about 2miles extra to the place as she thought it would help sober me up! kebabs were had on route and we turned up at the club soberish... we then finished the gin in bag and had a great night! so good we didnt have to fork out for taxi home as the U-bahns were re-running by the time we left! good times! Had an anker for breakfast to finish the night at 6.30am, and fell to bed at 7...

Obviously today was a slow one... spent most of noon making pasta and copious cups of t using our lovely new anker tea set and having a good old gossip in the random canteen like kitchen!
