Hello all finally getting round to writing our blog. Day one started with a very early morning and the easiest drive to Dover we could have hoped for and thankfully resulted in getting an earlier ferry. Arrived in Calais and got to grips quickly with driving on the wrong side of the road from Calais to Paris. Arrived in Paris and checked into the hugest camp pitch on the banks of the Seine River. The plan to go out quickly deteriorated as narcolepsy hit us both after the essentials of wine and beer and food of which we were utterly raped for in the camp shop had been consumed...

Woke on the banks starving we ventured into Paris with an empty stomach after the escapades in the camp shop the noight before. HAd breakfast in Paris then had a wander around... as you do. Torze stilll had narcolepsy and the AMAZING angelina hot chocolate didnīt help the tired situation. Her head looked like a bladder on a stick - her words not mine! Then ... considering the tiredness we spent two hours somewhere near Montmatre trying to buy food for tea on a SUNDAY - IMPOSSIBLE! anyway, after all this went back to camp cooked and slept somemore...

Today was a big day. We did the free walking tour round Paris which was very informative and really good. I got VERY burnt today too of which Iīm still suffering :( After walking tour we walked miles to Eiffel tower and back before having tea in the Latin Quarter and later going on a pub crawl with the same company as the walking tour. Pub crawl was very good... can safely say we have a new best friend in Melbourne called Amanda and we managed to aquire a very odd painting from a bar we drank Absinthe in... Donīt remember too much more apart from getting home and trying to find our campsite - successfully!

Today can only be described as being taken over by Torzeīs handover... nuf said... Also Torze in the still drunk state to get locked in toilet while I slept through this unknowingly for nearly an hour before the saving occured! very funny at least we can laugh about it now. After many hours of torze getting a grip we had a great afternoon and night in Paris climbing - literally - the Tour EIffel and then picnicing for tea in the Trocadero gardens paddling and watching the sparkling lights! an amazing end to our paris tour!
