The Provence area of France is beautiful! It is so relaxing and has a certain old-fashioned nostalgia to it that I love: All the smells of the flowers and the sound of church bells ringing throughout the day. What a nice thing to wake up to - no sounds of constant construction, just the bells and the birds chirping and the clattering of cups as people chat at the cafes outside the windows. Ahhhh.... : )

As I wandered around today, I came across a street fair with artisans and such. At the end of the street there was a band playing some fun energetic music and since everyone seems to favor ice cream everywhere I've been lately, I decided to get some and sit to listen to them play. The stuff that I had is better than ice cream - it was like chilled stars of silk! For those of you who know how much I like ice cream, it beat my favorite coffee Haagen Dazz hands down, which is a feat in and of itself! YUMM!! They put 3 flavors in my one small cup: chocolate with hazlenut, coffee, and amaretto! I couldn,t pick a favorite if I had to... So I just enjoyed them! : )

I have no idea what I am going to do tomorrow, but hopefully not too much walking because I'm getting some pretty painful blisters, even with my comfortable shoes... Oh well, after this I am planning to head to the French Riviera and just relax on the beach for a few days!

Re: Looks like you are having a great fa
Thanks so much! I was actually going to try to get everyone's addresses from my mom to send postcards, but maybe you could just send them to me here? I wasn't able to get them before I left, as I was dealing with my car accident and new roommate chaos... I will be over on the east coast for a wedding in the fall, so perhaps I will be able to take a few extra days to come up for a visit! :)
