We were woken up by Big Eli saying to Little Eli, "it's time to get up, it's 5:59!"

A quick roll out of bed and packing of the car and before we knew it, it was time to wander over to the Gould Academy Dining Hall for breakfast. Big Eli, Lily and Mia left before the grown-ups and by the time we made it over, the kids were all sitting at a table with a teacher from the school and happily munching on cheerios and fruit. It was quite neat to see their independence and willingness to 'go with the flow'.
We said our goodbyes (not nearly as difficult as normal as we will see them again in August) and drove down to Portland to catch up with Opa at the Farmers Market. He apparently gets up at 3:15am in order to get packed up and get to the market in time to get set up for the first customers who stroll by around 6am.
We walked down to a local bakery for a cinnamon roll (Jess commented that they are not as nice as Tim's) and then picked up some vegetable seedlings and had a quick lunch with Opa before driving the 4 hours back to North Haven and Gramma's house.
She was late getting home from work and was delighted to walk into the house and be greeted by a glass of wine, a hug from the grandchildren and a cooked dinner of spinach risotto and marinated pork chops. It's a bit hard to tell which component was the most pleasing.....
