What I did
We had a grand time learning about the fish and sealife in Long Island Sound and without doubt the highlight for the kids was the 'touch tank' where they got to touch and feel a couple of sharks and many different species of skates and rays. The sharks were described as 'rough' and the skates as 'gooey'! The kids certainly had a great time and we were all intrigued to look at and learn about which species of fish were safely and sustainably fished and which species to avoid as purchase of them would lead to overfishing. Also, funnily enough, this aquarium had a large collection of different amphibians including poison dart frogs, a range of salamanders and even some snakes
We drove home in the afternoon and before we had dinner, we spent some time pitching our new tent which we purchased for the impending camping, road trip. It is quite a flash tent with two main rooms, a screen room and a pre-wired lighting system which even has a light switch by the front door. Only in America!!!!!
Then it was time for bed and a pleasant night's sleep in anticipation of the drive to Maine and OUR NEW CAR!!!!!
