What else? More Relatives!

We're being totally spoiled as we unabashedly "sponge off the relatives." Three days near St.Paul in Woodbury, MN capped off an incredibly diverse trek through Minnesota.

Consider, within extended relatives of the same family, we have experienced farm life, comfortable lakefront "empty nest"retirement life near children and grandchildren, the life of a young single mom living with her mom and within minutes of an aunt, uncle and cousins all of whom help to raise the 2 yr old, the lives of the professional couple living in a nice subdivision with a middle school son studying in Sweden and a bright 2nd grade daughter {my new girlfriend Kaia].

A microcosm of life in America, all with the same values, the same joie de vie [showing off my French] and the same care and respect for each other. Pretty cool.

I like St. Paul, as far as bigger cities go. Some great 'Luce" pizza probably helped sway me, but what we saw of the city was attractive, accessible and not too dense. We also got to go Trick or Treating with Kaia and about 10 of her neighborhood friends and their parents. Some of the neighbors really go all out for the kids and there's a lot of candy to be had in a subdivision like that. I feel a zit coming on!

I also had the time and space in Kristen's living room to work on my first painting of the trip, a commission of sorts for Travis and his roommates to be laminated to the beer pong table. I wonder how the historians will record this artistic endeavor.

We whisked uneventfully through Wisconsin [ I only heard one Wisconsin joke - something about the reason it's so windy everywhere else is because Wisconsin sucks

I heard one more Wisconsin joke somewhere along the way...I think Banana told it to me

"What is the motto of Wisconson farmers?"

"Come smell our dairy air!"
