Kite Surfing!
Entry 2 of 7 | show all | print this entry |

This little beach town seems to be the kite surfing capital of the world. I didn't try it, you had to take 10 hours of lessons and I couldn't afford the time. The people who know what they are doing make it look very easy, however I saw some newbies taking a lesson and they looked absolutley miserable! I chose to sit on the beach, drink beer and just watch the view. Here is a shot of old meets new, fishing boat and kite surfer.
I also toured around and visited a fishing village, Red Canyon and sand dunes nearby.
The most lasting impression I will have of this place is watching the fishermen take these little bowl shaped boats out to sea. Leaning over the side of these round boats paddling with one big paddle they slowly made their way past the surf and out to sea to cast their nets.
