There have been lots of movies and TV shows filmed in this part of the world, and no wonder since it is so beautiful! The movie The Blue Lagoon was filmed on the island just next to the one I was staying on so I spent an afternoon over there. The beach was, of course, stunning and there was some good advice posted on the palm trees!

On another afternoon I walked up to the highest point of the island I was staying on. The view from the top was spectacular, I never knew there could be so many different shades of blue water! Found another gorgeous white sandy beach on the other side of the island. These kids were walking home from school. Lets see, if I had to walk past this beach every day on my way to school I wonder how many days I would have actually made it to school? There seems to be an endless supply of hammocks here, I managed to spend a couple of afternoons in them alternating between reading and snoozing.

I also got to visit the local village on the island. Here is a typical village house and a village kid fishing for dinner on the beach.
