I did another day trip on a ferry across the Rio de la Plata to Colonia. Both this and Tigre were very nice little quite towns, no horns blaring or fearing for my life when I crossed the street! I took the slow ferry over and basked in the sun all the way.

There is an old city in Colonia and they have restored the entry gate.

Inside the old city there are cobblestone roads, ruins and a lighthouse with a nice view.

There were lots of little cafes to have a peaceful afternoon beverage.
