From Rio de Janeiro we took another 24 hour bus ride to the Iguacu Falls (the Brazilian side). When we arrived we quickly went to our Hostel to unload our backpacks and headed for the Argentinean border for some of the GREAT meats, cheeses and wine! We mistakenly ended up taking a bus to the border of Paraguay instead. The bus stop is at Mc Donalds and one side takes you to Argentina and the other side takes you to Paraguay. So we had to exit and re-enter Brazil only to exit once again when we got to the border of Argentina for the afternoon and then re-enter Brazil in the evening!

We stayed at a great Hostel that had a big swimming pool, kitchen, BBQ and air conditioning! We met some great people during our stay and Vic even helped to organize a birthday BBQ dinner for one of the girls, Natalie, who was turning 26. A group went shopping aided by Eisa, from Sao Paolo, Brazil who was waiting for her boyfriend from Germany to arrive (he was late do to weather conditions in Europe). The girls all helped to make the salads and drinks and the guys handled the BBQ. It was a fantastic dinner and we all had a great time...everyone sang "happy birthday" in their own language !

We went to see the falls on the Brazilian side and it was breathtaking! Even though we saw them from the Argentinean side it looks totally different when you see it from the Brazilian side. Both views are wonderful!

We ended up staying at Iguacu longer than we expected to... it was a  great place to relax!
