The town was great! It is a fishing and surfing beach town with a population of 700. It is wonderfully remote and beautiful. It has winding dirt/sand streets throughout the small town and just enough restaurants, bars and small stores to keep us busy when were not on the beach.
Neither Vic and I or Alberto and Estella had made reservations for a place to stay, so as we were walking on the road across from the beach (to check out some Hostels) an older man, named Winston, asked us if we would like to rent a house. We said, "Sure, can we see it?" It turned out to be GREAT! It was right across from the beach, great view from the patio and right in the heart of town...and only $35 US dollars a night for the 4 of us! We all stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. We hated to leave.
