We took the ferry, Buquebus, from Buenos Aires to Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. We took the slower ferry (3 hours) since we were not in a hurry. It was a very nice ride, not alot to see but a nice ferry and a nice warm and sunny ride.

Colonia is a small seaport town that was built in the "1600's" for exporting and smuggling goods to Buenos Aires. The small town is full of great ruins of buildings, forts, original cobblestone streets and some great museums. One of the museums had a unique display of dinasour relics, birds and insects from the area.

We stayed a a hostel that was in a perfect location. We were walking distance to everything, including the grocery store, bank, ferry, museums and beach. I worked on a blog one day while Vic took one of the beach bikes from the hostel and rode around town, he really enjoyed it! We cooked alot at this hostel once we realized that the food in Uruguay is not very good! We stayed for a total of three days which was a perfect amount of time.
