Well Scotland is putting on her finest weather for me. Woke to rain, wind and chill factor gloves, scarf, coat and heaters. Thank goodness for layers of clothes. Drove to Stirling today where the William Wallace Monument is on top of the hill. It is where the Scottish and English were in battle and the Scottish won so the monument was erected to remember their national hero. The film Braveheart is based on this piece of Scottish history.Very violent people these Scottish. It is a tall tower construction with a narrow spiral staircase with 4 levels. Climbed to the top when the height of the storm hit Scotland today, so was pretty rugged. Had a great 360 view but with the rain it was a bit gloomy. From the top could also see the Stirling Castle where Scottish royality lived. Maureen then drove me to Perth's sister city Perth. Quite a small town really. Seemed very deserted. Went out for dinner tonight to a local pub and the food and atmosphere was fantastic.
