Well, the last few weeks have pretty much been one piss up, closely followed by another -- so I can't really remember what's happened? Anyway, here goes nothing...

After Christchurch, we headed down to Dunedin to catch the game against Otago, where we saw the (then) mighty Lions hammer this so called Super 12 team. It was a superb atmosphere once again -- there was laughter, banter, pies, alcohol, Mexican waves, alcohol, more pies and laughter! It was fecking cold though! Then after the game we met up with some mates and got proper drunk... Oh, I did see Clive Woodwood walking along the street with his family, but knowing what I know now I should have jabbed him in the kidneys instead of getting all shy...

Leaving Dunedin (slightly more skint and slightly more bored of drinking) we thought we had to get down to Queenstown, the land of opportunity, where we'd be guaranteed work. It was going to be fantastic at last earning some money and snowboarding every chance we got. Obviously as soon as we arrived Giggsy got a job designing corporate logos and I got a job writing a childrens comic called Kiwi Man.. 1. ME
1. ME
. Oh, no wait. That didn't happen at all. I forgot, every other f***** in the world had the same idea as us, so there was no work and the ski season hadn't even started yet! I did book up the Thrillogy (3 big ass bungy jumps), but after a few major drunken nights, a few goes on the luge (yes -- I whooped everyone!!), we left... The plan now was to go back up to Chrishchurch for the first test and get some work there.

Wanaka was our next stop, about 40 mins from QT. It looked a really nice place, but we only stayed for a lovely cup O tea. The tea was amazing, Earl Gray I think. After the tea, we drove through Wanaka on what I thought was the main road towards Lake Takapo. However, about 10K in, it turned into a sort of driveway. We were surrounded, once again, by some amazing scenery, but also sharing the road with a couple of moooody cows saying "Gerr off my land". You know how it is when you think you may have gone the wrong way, but there's no way you're going to admit to it. It was a bit like that! Until the road was suddenly cut off by a stream and I had to accept defeat... After skillfully navigating our way back, we headed up to Lake Takapo, but by the time we got there it was dark so continued up to Methven. We stayed in Methven overnight before heading up to Christchurch. There isn't much there, although it is close to Mount Hutt, which has the longest skiing season in Australisia. We attempted to drive up the mountain in the Silver Bullet MK2, which incidentally is named a Town Ace -- NOT a Mountain Ace 2. DANGER ZONE!
2. DANGER ZONE!
. Needless to say the bullet misfired! She was sliding all over the place! Giggsy got 1K into the 13K drive, turned white and said "can we turn back now?". Best thing is he had the passenger side on the way down, which overlooked the several hundred feet drop! We were very close to recreating the scene from the Italian Job!

We arrived back in Christchurch on match day and began to get excited about the big game. Met up with one of my brother's mates before the game for a few drinks, then when they went off to the match, we moved on to a busy pub to let our voices be heard! COME ON THE LIONS! Oh dear, not only did we get tamed we got a bloody whipping too! I won't bore you with my views on the match because I know you're ALL MASSIVE rugger fans so have you're own thoughts on who Woody should have picked... Oh well, roll on the second test -- I'll be there if needed to play! After the game I met up with my dad for a few free beers and then the Giggs and I carried on through the night... the next day we met up with the lads who I brought the 2nd test ticket off and some of the people we met in QT. Luckily, the girl who's house in Christchurch they stayed at said we could stay there once they'd left -- so at last we'll be saving a bit of money! No need to get a job just yet then...

What news from the Shire, people?

PS -- Has anyone got a spare liver they can send me, I think mine's beginning to fail?
