Well, we've had three weeks on the road now and have pretty much fast-tracked everything. We've gotten drunk every night, and I'm already beginning to forget all the cool things we've seen and done over the last few weeks... So obviously when we arrived in Auckland we thought "why change the habit of our short travelling lifetime?" -- and spent the first two nights getting plastered with some locals!! They were good nights out; firstly because they were charged by dance pills (perfect legal drugs that can be brought in newsagents, mum), which are like a poor man's speed (so I've heard, mum), and secondly, we met some cool people who said we can stay at theirs on the way back. However, on the down side, apart from the hangover charged by the come down of these perfectly legal dance pills, we spent an absolute shite loads!!
Anyway, when Monday came round, we were getting slightly bored, and so decided to buy a van and head south to Queenstown for a spot of snowboarding. We managed to pick up a pretty good deal off a lovely butch couple from Lesbos, in Belgium -- a Toyota Townace, or the Silver Bullet Mk 2 as we like to call her! And we set off for the south, me driving, and Giggsy manning the guns... Our travelling adventure begins here!
We're currently in a place called Taupo, which has a mahoossive lake (about the size of Kent) right next to it. A good place for sky diving, I've heard. Anyway, on that note, I'm off catch plane... ;-)
