Well, we have had a great stay at the Hilton Waikoloa Village..... I cannot begin to explain in words how great this resort is; the incredible landscaping, the beautiful pools, the fabulous lagoon, the amazing sculptures and artwork all over the resort..... this place is just unbelievable and I HIGHLY recommend it to any of you planning a trip to Hawaii in the future....... Just be sure to sharpen your credit card!
We had planned to do much more touring of the Big Island than we ended up doing, mostly because we found it so hard to tear ourselves away from this fabulous resort. But missed attractions are great because they give us a reason to come back !!! Next time we will have to get over to the Hilo side of the island and visit Volcano National Park..... hope it's soon because Hawaii is fabulous.
Today we did a snorkel tour to two great snorkeling sites: Kealakekua Bay and . This was a great tour; they took us out by Zodiac type boat and showed us historical sites as well as lava tubes and blow-holes along the Kona-Kailua coast... we stopped to snorkel at both sites I named above and the underwater scenery was incredible...... I took lots of pics with underwater cameras and will post anything which turned out well.... we also saw LOTS of spinner dolphins who swam alongside our boat... so cool.....
Tonight is our last night in Hawaii and we're going for dinner, then trying to fit everything we brought PLUS all the souvenirs and gifts back in our suitcases...... yikes....
