We got up early as usual after sleeping in the back of the ford, and set off for the Crater Lakes. Lake Barrine, the smaller of the 2 is a really beautiful lake and there is a pair of apparently famous trees, over 1100 years old, they were massive Kauri Pines. We swam in lake Eacham, amazing clear water and not actually so cold. Headed off towards the Malanda Falls which were very impressive but unfortunately you could only view them from above, we had developed some obsession with swimming in waterfalls and were a bit gutted this one was out of bounds. We decided, as it was raining and a bit chilly, that we would drive on to the Hot Springs at Innot  however when we arrived the sun was out and it was boiling hot! We could not face the natural hot springs but messed around in the sun for a bit and then set off to find a camp. We found another one of these National Park sites, this one had a stove aswell, we sheltered from the rain at a covered table and went to bed in the cramped and hot ford falcon.
