After a long plane trip, I finally arrived in Santiago de Chile. The best thing was the 30 degrees of temperature change. I did not understand much Spanish on the flight, although i took a course at university before i left, but learning a language takes some time. At least the phrase "quiero otro vino, por favor" came in quite handy; other phrases i liked were "tengo hambre de la puta madre" or "no entiendo", which was probably the most oftenly used phrase during the first time of my stay in Argentina.
I didn't stay in Santiago since i was picked up by my tutor and his family from San Rafael at the airport to start it all off with holidays at the beaches close to Viña del Mar.
