Dobre den! (good day)

Dresden continued to be very nice. Unfortunately, "the world cup of climbing is this weekend" is apparently german for "the world cup of climbing was last weekend". next time, i guess. anyway, yesterday i left for prague.

on the train i met 2 very cool americans working in prague for a few months as part of a master's program. we talked a good bit on the train, ate dinner in prague, and made plans for future rendezvous. they were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to make my first night in prague a great one.

the dinner was at a very non-touristy traditional czech place. un. be. lievable. the place had an amazing atmosphere. it was like a scene out of a movie. very, very loud and jovial czech dominated the room. czech songs were sung as drunken grandmothers swayed standing next to their seat, spilling beer on loved ones. at some point, a tuba player and accordian player started circling the room. i didnt have my camera (mistake!) but i will hopefully get the pictures from brian and juan, my helpful insiders.

went back to the hostel, slept, and now it is time to see what prague has to see!

At Last!
After waiting and checking for updates that never came to my email account about your travel-posting entries, Mom finally told me that you'd already made some... So I am catching up at last. Little brother, you make me proud! And by the way, there is no good trip overseas that doesn't include some very violent diarrhea. That is a fact - get used to it if you want to lead a life of international intrigue. Until then, I love reading your entries, I am filled with jealousy and happiness... I wish I was there, but I'm so, so glad that you are. Good work, Roberto. Keep us posted.
Much love and bon voyage,
ps - Congrats, Louise!!

prague my lovely city
Nice pics! When I was in Prague I noticed that there so many trams over the city. They look little vintage but very comfortable and well equipped in side. There was a tram line not far from hotels in Prague ( http://www.prague-hotels.org.uk ) where I stayed. I really enjoyed watching them, especially in the evenings.
