I had nothing to post yesterday, unless you all want to hear about me doing laundry and then going to karaoke? Didn't think so.
I left Steve's house at 7 am and headed towards Yosemite Park which was a 4 hour drive. It is only 195 miles from San Francisco, but alot of back roads and small towns to go through. It was so nice to get out of the city. I think I am a country girl at heart.
Yosemite National Park is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Eastern California.
The drive into Yosemite is very pretty with winding narrow roads and both sides of the road filled with pine forest................... until............. you start climbing. You have to pay a lot of attention to the road and not the scenery or you could fall off. I love an adventure. I'm here typing this, so I guess I did not fall over.
I just can't say enough about all that I have seen so far. Every time I go somewhere, I am in AWE. You can be looking at a mountain or meadow and look at it a few minutes later and see a whole different picture.
Yosemite was magnificent. I took a little more time there then I had planned too.
This replica of a Native American village shows you how the Miwok and Paiute peoples lived; the places where they prepared and cooked their food, and more. I found that very interesting.
I took a walk along one of the paths that led to the lower falls, only to find out the only thing falling were rocks, but it was a nice walk into the woods that was peaceful.
I spent about 6 hours there and hope to go back again someday.
