Transfer day again, sorry to be leaving our new friends in Mo i Rana. We had a great time in this wonderful little city with so much going on. Up a 5 am to get ready for a one hour drive to Nesna (all drives in Norway are scenic.) to board a high speed passenger ferry to meet up with our friends in Bodo again, a four hour trip, also scenic. We had a nice lunch at a restaurant in the harbor. Richard tied a friends bracelet on each of us. We will never forget Bodo and the terrific friends we made.

At 3:30 our mini cruise ship (ferry) left for Stamsund. This is a 3 1/2 hour cruise on a perfect sunny day. This was a non-stop trip on a very comfortable ship. Almost like being in the Carribean, except with much nicer scenery. We arrived in Stamsund at a little after 7 and were met by our Rotary hosts and driven to a unique little fishing village called Balstad. We are staying in former fishermen cottages, which, although very rustic are clean and comfortable. A one of a kind place right on the water with ruggedly beautiful mountains all around. We were treated to a wonderful fish soup and bread dinner with desert and coffee. We exchanged club flags and banners and enjoyed the fellowship.
I was out on the dock at 7 the next morning taking pictures and enjoying the sunrise. Well, not quite a sunrise, since the sun never sets this time of year. It's gonna be a great day!
