What the hell do you want in Tanggu? That was the question of my colleagues when I told them I will go to Tanggu, watching football. China matches Kyrgyzstan in a friendly. First they did not believe, then they started research how to get there. 90 minutes later I got the train connection, mass transit info, everything written in Chinese on post it notes, and wishes for good luck. Finally I made it. Train, Downtown, Football, Train, Home, altogether in 15 hours. It was a kind of fun. But the day after the colleagues asked me if I would do it again. I said I do not know, may be.
Tanggu is a sea port, one of the most important of China. But there is no life after the football match. So I could make this nice pic from the bus stop without any people. I guess they have been all at home sleeping, because it was already 11 pm saturday night. I was waiting in the trainstation waiting hall with an ice cold Yanjing black beer for the 1 am train. At night in a slow, hard seater train is also an experience a china traveller should not miss.
