So, I am back in NZ. After finishing the Overkland Track, I stayed for 2 days in Launceston with my friend Thalia. The, I went to Melbourne to have a jolly good time with my friend Astrid and her roomies. And here I am now, back in Auckland getting my bearings straight and hoping to embark soon on my North Island journey. I stayed for 3 days with servas hosts Roz and Leo with whom I stayed before leaving for Oz. I had a wonderful time meeting the family, enjoying a wine tasting meeting organized by Roz' friends and visiting the Villa Maria Winery to learn about wine operations. I also got Roz and Leo all worried one evening resulting as I failed to show up at home before 9PM. The result of this is that I now have a police refernce number as Roz and Leo called on the police reporting me missed (I got stuck in an internet cafe). How wonderful to know that people care so much about me. ;-)))) Now, I am scouting the area for work and a car and will start work this week on a small vineyard, 40 min. south of Auckland.
