My last entry from Honduras and i am in no mood of writing.... so, here go my observations, remarks, hints, etc......

School buses in Honduras are longer than in Guatemala and i can take my pack either in the bus (which i prefer) or it goes into a separate luggage department where it can't be stolen or get wet.....the long bus trips are an inexpensive way of seeing the country but one has to evaluate other options such as paying a bit more to have an express bus that hopefully does not break down and stop at every corner...... I am learning the ropes, it's just been 5 weeks so i hope by the time my friend Eva will meet up with me in Peru, I have it all figured out..... there are security guards everywhere, in front of banks, in front of companies, they also accompany beverage trucks.... breast feeding woman are everywhere and woman use their bras as money and credit card holders (who needs purses, provided one wears a bra).....from Copan Ruinas, i went to Omoa, a one-horse town on the Caribbean Sea.. More of the Fort
More of the Fort
. stayed at Roli's place which is run by a disgruntled Swiss guy.... there, i met up with a Greek, a Singaporean and a Brit...... had a great time there but got sunburned and bored and left for Nicaragua... skipped la Ceiba, Utila and the Mosquita coast due to money restraints.... just have to go diving in Thailand......i saw lots of animals such as horses and cows (beautiful Brahma cows) walking freely on the street..... Unfortunately, they are not traffic conscious which left a horse dead on the street covered by vultures (all i could see were its hind legs and the tail).....a full day of bus riding from 6am until 6pm, 15 minutes before reaching the capital Tegus, the bus broke down and we had to hitch another one and pay the fare too......tried hard to escape the cramped and hot cities and headed straight for the border town of El Paraiso... the most beautiful two hour bus ride i have done in while was from Tegus to Danli.... it soothed my soul......I need to do something else besides traveling, i need to find some volunteer projects......Hondurans favorite discussion point was their poverty and that they can't go anywhere because it is expensive and that i must have lots of money that i can go and travel.... therefore, i changed my response to tell people that i am visiting their country for 3 weeks and that i am a poor student who saved long and hard and that i am also a volunteer.... this should deter them from thinking i am rich....

That's it. I am sooooo ready for Nicaragua.
