Since we were planning on crossing the US/Mexico border through Nogales, Arizona, our schedule worked out where we were able to visit our friends Dave and Isis in Scottsdale on our way through. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures of Dave and Isis since they're schedules are so tight...Dave is working towards his MBA at ASU and Isis anchors the weekday evening Fox newscast.
We hiked Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale to get a great view of the city. It was a short trail, 1.2 miles, but a 1,200 foot climb to the summit. We were able to pull Dave away from his studies and grab dinner and a few beers that evening.
The last day in Scottsdale, we caught a spring training game in Mesa on our way out of town. We saw the Cubs versus the Rockies. The Cubs had quite a following for spring training in Arizona.
