We took a train, bus, and boat to get to Ko Phangan.  When we arrived, it was pouring down rain.  We found a place to stay as quickly as we could lugging around 2 backpacks each.

The place we stayed Saturday night was a dump.  It was dirty and we discovered a roach scattering from the bed when Darren turned the lights on after we came back from dinner.  Needless to say, Kristi was not staying here another night.  We woke up the next morning and found a new place that was clean with air con, hot shower, and great location.

It rained starting the day we got to Ko Phangan...forecast was rain...more rain...and more rain...apparently rainy season can last through November.

Darren's birthday was on Tuesday, November 11th.  He turned the big 34!

The day of the full moon party was actually a beautiful day.  We rented a scooter and toured part of the island.  We took a late nap to stay up for the big party.  They had many fire shows and lots and lots of glow paint.  Unedited tales of the party are available via buying Darren a beer upon return to the States.

Due to the continuing rain, we decided to leave Thailand and finish our trip here on the way back.  We head to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Friday, November 14th.  We're staying there for 3 days and then flying to Bali, Indonesia.
