After leaving Russ and Buster in Salina, we made our way to Firestone, Colorado to visit Darren's parents.  Darren was sick for the first day and a half we arrived.  Either food poisoning or the flu shot.

We went in to Denver and toured the US Mint.  It was a relatively short tour and we saw a few interesting items, but nothing too exciting.  We strolled through 16th Street Mall after that, which is an outdoor shopping area in downtown Denver.  It was pretty cold and windy so we didn't do a whole lot.  We headed back towards Boulder and had a few beers later that afternoon.

We mountain biked in Loveland, CO on a trail called Devil's Backbone....a little too tricky for Kristi after 1.5 miles, and Horsetooth Mountain in Ft. Collins, CO...much more pleasant for Kristi.  Darren's parents even rode this trail with Kristi.

We toured the Coors Brewery in Golden, CO.  It was a self-guided tour with several free beers at the end.  Darren's cousin Becky told us about the free tour at the New Belgium brewery in Ft. Collins.  We'll be hitting that one when we get back!
